Dear Friends,
We greet you in the Name of Jesus with great appreciation for you and your partnership in the great privilege of sharing in the work of God. We are heading into an important season and ask that you make a special effort to pray for us and our ministry.
Sandy is part of a prayer ministry at Asbury Seminary and will have a place in leading a retreat for healing prayer for students this week. Please pray for God to do great things for the students to bring inner strength and wholeness to them – and also to equip them for ministry.
Next week, Kent and Sandy will be in Orlando for the Asbury Ministry Conference. This Conference, entitled, “RESTORE THE JOY: Healing in the Church – Healing of the Church” is Kent’s vision and desire. How needed it is today! The Bible verse associated with the conference is Psalm 51:12 – “Restore to me the joy of Your salvation.” We pray that God will do a great work among the pastors and lay people who will attend. Kent will be one of the plenary speakers and Kent and Sandy will be leading one of the workshops.
Kent’s new book, The Will of God is due out about the same time as the beginning of Ministry Conference. Please pray for its release and that God will give life to the words in the hearts of everyone who reads it. Also, pray that God will use it in the best possible way – that it will hit the mark exactly as God intends. The book will help people get themselves into a position where they can hear from God and be led according to God’s purposes. It is also a great discipleship resource. If you give it to someone who is new to the faith, it will show them how to walk with God day-by-day.
Two days after the conference, Kent is leading a men’s retreat in Atlanta. Please pray for God to meet with us in a powerful way to heal those men and to call them forth into their divine destiny.
The next day after that retreat, Kent teaches a class of international leaders in preaching at Asbury. Pray for God to bless that time and for there to be a rich Kingdom connection between Kent and the students.
On February 14, Kent travels with the Beeson Pastors to Romania where they will conduct a mission in several area churches in and around Arad. Pray for favor, health, and blessing for the team of men and women who will make this trip.
Kent is beginning now to plan for his trip to Malaysia and the Philippines in March. We feel that this is an important new open door for us. Please pray for God to bless the days of preparation and also make provision for the cost of the trip.
Kent finished his dissertation and it is now in the hands of the editors. He will be preparing to defend it in the spring. He is a year ahead of schedule and has applied for early graduation. It will require special approval. Please pray that this approval will be granted.
We believe that our web site is a very important tool for ministry and also for being able to communicate with people and them with us. While the site is good and we appreciate all those who help us with it, we feel like it can be much more. We really need someone who will work closely with us in managing the site with joy and with a heart for what we are doing.
