Dear Friends,
It has been a whirlwind week, full of ministry and relationships, challenges and joy. We were in Orlando last week where we received the advance copies of Kent’s new book, “The Will of God.” We were delighted to finally see it as were the many people who have been so anxious for it to arrive. We met with our publisher and planned some of the strategies for sharing the book on a wider scale after its official release June 1.
The Conference on Healing in Orlando was tremendous. We not only heard a variety of quite diverse perspectives, we also saw God move in wonderful ways. There are, as you might expect, certain detractors in the Asbury religious community, but we were undaunted in our joy. Jesus similarly had to contend with those religious people who voiced their opposition to His methods because His methods did not adhere to their constrained parameters. Kent’s presentation and his and Sandy’s workshop were well received.
After the conference Kent went almost immediately to Atlanta to lead a men’s retreat which was exciting and powerful. There were a lot of men present – many of whom were new to the walk of faith. They were tremendous – committed and loving. They responded passionately and God blessed them.
This week, Kent is teaching the International Leaders at the campus in Kentucky and then leaves for Romania on Thursday, February 14 with the resident Beeson Pastors for ten days of mission and cross-cultural ministry experience.
Sandy is working with the Healing Academy at Asbury which seeks to develop seminary students in the area of healing. Sandy is tremendously gifted in healing prayer. It is going very well. She was an integral part of the Academy’s recent annual retreat.
It is our joy to share these updates with you. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your interest, love, and support. We could not do this without you and love doing it with you.
With love from Kent and Sandy
